Privacy Policy

SahaBite • Effective date: 21 June 2026

Short version: SahaBite keeps your recipes, meal plans, preferences, and photos on your device. We have no user accounts and we do not track you. The only data that leaves your device is the recipe text you choose to send for an AI transformation — and it is processed and discarded, never stored or sold.

1. Who we are

SahaBite ("we", "us") is operated by SAHABITE TECHNOLOGIES INC., a company incorporated in Ontario, Canada. For any privacy question you can reach us at support@sahabite.com.

2. Data stored on your device

The following is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to us:

• Recipes you import, create, or save
• Your meal plan and grocery list
• Dish photos you take or choose
• Your profile settings: first name, food cultures, goal, allergies, units, and halal preference

Deleting the app, or using "Reset app" in your profile, permanently removes this data from your device.

3. Data sent to our servers

When you actively use an AI feature — "Make it Healthier", "Cook from my fridge", or importing a recipe from a link — the relevant recipe content (ingredients, steps, your selected goal, and any allergy or halal preferences) is sent to our server so it can generate a result. To do this, that content is processed by a third-party AI provider (OpenAI).

• This happens only when you tap one of those features.
• The content is used to produce your result and is then discarded. We do not keep a copy of your recipes or build a profile of you from them.
• We do not send your name, contact details, or health records — only the recipe content and the cooking preferences needed to generate the result.

4. Subscriptions and purchases

Saha+ subscriptions are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store), and managed through RevenueCat, our subscription provider. Your payment details are handled by Apple or Google — we never see or store your card or payment information. RevenueCat processes an anonymous purchase identifier so we can confirm whether your subscription is active. See RevenueCat's privacy policy, Apple's, and Google's.

5. Camera and photo library

If you add a dish photo, the app asks permission to use your camera or photo library. Photos you select are stored on your device and shown on your recipe cards. They are not uploaded to us.

6. What we do NOT do

• No user accounts or logins.
• No third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
• No selling or sharing of your personal data with anyone.
• No building of advertising or health profiles about you.

7. Children's privacy

SahaBite is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Your rights (including EU/EEA users)

Because your content lives on your device, you remain in control of it: you can view, edit, or delete it at any time, and "Reset app" erases it entirely. If you are in the EU/EEA or other regions with data protection laws (e.g. GDPR), you have rights to access, correct, and delete personal data. Since we do not retain your recipes or maintain accounts, most of this is handled directly on your device; for any request involving data processed through us, contact support@sahabite.com.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. We will revise the "Effective date" above and, for significant changes, provide a notice in the app.
