Terms of Use

Please read these Terms carefully. By downloading or using SahaBite, you agree to them. SahaBite gives you cooking ideas and healthier recipe suggestions — it is not medical or nutritional advice. Always use your own judgement, especially for health conditions and allergies.

1. Who we are and acceptance

SahaBite (the "App") is provided by SAHABITE TECHNOLOGIES INC. ("we", "us"), a company incorporated in Ontario, Canada. By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Licence

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on Apple-branded or Android devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use, in accordance with these Terms and the usage rules of the applicable app store.

3. What SahaBite does — and does not do

SahaBite suggests healthier versions of recipes, generates recipe ideas from ingredients, and helps you plan meals. Suggestions are generated in part by artificial intelligence and are provided for general informational and inspirational purposes only.

• Not medical or nutritional advice. SahaBite is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, or manage any health condition, including diabetes. Consult a qualified doctor or dietitian before making dietary changes for a medical reason.
• Allergies. While the App lets you record allergies and tries to avoid them, you are responsible for checking every ingredient yourself. Never rely on the App alone to keep you safe from an allergen.
• AI can be wrong. AI-generated suggestions may be inaccurate or culturally imperfect. Review every suggestion and use your own judgement before cooking or eating.

4. Subscriptions and payment

SahaBite offers a free tier and an optional paid subscription, "Saha+". Free members receive a limited number of AI transformations; Saha+ unlocks unlimited use and additional features.

• Saha+ is an auto-renewing subscription offered on a monthly or annual basis.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account at confirmation of purchase.
• The subscription renews automatically for the same period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
• Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable; refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies, not by us.
• Prices may change; we will give notice as required and changes will not affect the period already paid for.

5. Your content

Recipes you import or create ("Your Content") remain yours. You are responsible for having the right to use any recipe you import, and for how you use the App's output. Your Content is stored on your device; see our Privacy Policy for details.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to: (a) use the App unlawfully; (b) attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or interfere with the App or our servers; (c) misuse the AI features to generate unlawful or harmful content; or (d) resell or commercially exploit the App or its output.

7. Intellectual property

The App, its design, branding, and content (excluding Your Content and third-party recipe sources) are owned by us and protected by law. These Terms grant you no rights in our trademarks or branding.

8. Third-party services

The App relies on third-party services, including Apple, Google, RevenueCat (subscriptions), and an AI provider (OpenAI) that processes recipe content to generate suggestions. Your use of the App through those platforms is also subject to their terms.

9. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that suggestions will meet your health or dietary needs.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any health outcome, allergic reaction, or loss arising from your use of the App or reliance on its suggestions. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

11. Apple-specific terms

If you use the App on an Apple device, you acknowledge that: these Terms are between you and us, not Apple; Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App; in the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any), and to the maximum extent permitted by law Apple has no other warranty obligation; Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App; and Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the App evolves. We will revise the "Effective date" above and, for significant changes, provide notice in the App. Continued use after changes means you accept them.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
